A Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Naturopathic Doctor* fully monitors the program. It includes a step-by-step eating guide, recipes, exercise routines, and three organic juice fasts. We use the InBody* machine to monitor your weight and body fat. This state-of-the-art device is used worldwide by many professional athletes and health professionals. There are even options to have your meals prepared for you, to add trusted personal trainers to your program**. ABOUT THE INBODY MACHINE
The InBody composition machine is a state-of-the-art body composition reader. It measures with incredible accuracy your weight, lean body mass, and fat mass in the body’s 5 cylinders (left arm, right arm, torso, left leg, right leg). It can also read your skeletal mass. This is important to get a real picture of our BMI, as some people are bigger boned than others, which should be considered when coming up with weight-loss targets. This is an exceptional addition to the program, helping us to see real results and plan achievable and realistic weight-loss goals.

WHY LOSE WEIGHT?
This is not just about fitting into your old jeans or being happier about the image you see. Yes, that has its place, but the real picture is what is going on inside.
EXCESS FAT. When the body has excess fat, our system stores extra toxins in our fat cells. Those toxins are not dormant. They are active and seep into the blood stream, feeding disease and creating a lot of system irritations. The less stored fat we have, generally, the less toxins we carry.
PRESSURE ON BONES/JOINTS. Excess weight also creates pressure on the bones and joints. It can inhibit us to move freely in exercise and the extra fat tissue can irritate inflamed areas, contributing to painful conditions like osteoarthritis. This is a degenerative disease in which one loses cartilage, and the bones and joints are gradually destroyed. This condition can be very painful. The more we move and exercise, our bones become stronger and the area around the joints become “cleaner,” resulting in less pain and irritation.
SLEEPING DISORDERS. Snoring and sleep apnea are common when the body has more weight than it was designed to carry. When there is too much weight on the body, the upper airways can collapse when we are sleeping and can stop us from breathing for short periods of time (sleep apnea). On a lesser level, this is when snoring comes into play.
HORMONE IMBALANCES & WEAK IMMUNE SYSTEM. Fat is actually a hormone producing organ. When we have excess fat, our hormones can get out of balance which can cause reproductive issues, sleep disorders, mood disorders, and especially a weak immune system. There are many other issues where excess fat has a major role to play in inhibiting hormonal function. Losing weight can really help rebalance your hormones.
DIABETES, CHOLESTEROL, and HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. All three of these conditions are elevated when there is an excess amount of fat in the system. Insulin receptors can be clogged by the lipids (fat molecules) from the liver. Excess fat can clog the arteries, raising blood pressure and increasing cholesterol. When we are overweight, the heart has to work harder for three main reasons: 1. The blood can become thick with too many toxins releasing from the fat storage. 2. Due to the larger surface to cover, the blood has to go further, creating more work and pressure on the heart. 3. The arteries could become narrowed, needing more pressure from the heart to pump the blood around the body.
